Our Work

OUR DELIVERY STYLE

Our enthusiasm for the content we deliver and for how we go about engaging with the group should be clear! You should leave a session feeling like learning was an enjoyable experience – and that it had just enough challenge to make it worth your while.

We are big believers in collaborative learning, active learning strategies and scenario based learning. This means that training with us involves:

  • Team based challenges, with lots of opportunities for everyone to share, so you can discuss your ideas and experiences
  • Actively engaging with content – more time spent with you thinking, talking, investigating and creating, and less time with the trainer talking or presenting content
  • Scenarios that require you to problem solve, apply knowledge to relevant situations and put skills into practice
  • Dedicated time to reflect, think critically and make learning a more conscious process.

OUR PROJECT WORK APPROACH

We start with identifying the difference that our work will achieve from the beginning. Let’s talk about the end goal. We want to create training that adds value for learners and the organisation.

We consider the foundations of how people learn and what creates behaviour change. We love designing training that is easy to understand, easily actionable, and that is scenario based and problem solving focused.

We believe in the importance of making learning experiences inclusive and accessible to everyone.  We meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), meaning essential design elements are included to meet the needs of specific learners. These elements support many other learners too.

We use an iterative approach to developing training. We use what we learn from initial discussions and any existing content to create a basic concept, which is then shared for initial review by agreed stakeholders. This is then revised and refined until the final product is complete and approved.

When creating training based on existing content, we always discuss with stakeholders what is valued and any changes that may need to be made to ensure material remains fit for purpose and reflective of best practices.

We believe that training is not properly tested until it is tried by a number of end users. We offer a period of 3 month post-development support, including refining materials, to ensure that training best meets the needs of the wider user group.

We allocate a dedicated project manager for every project. We establish a communications strategy for managing the project and are in regular contact with clients. Written progress updates can be provided if required.

Due to consultant backgrounds in both the Public Safety and Training Sectors, we often work with a high level of understanding and autonomy, reducing the need for close supervision and lengthy consultation. We work hard to create a project team that includes the correct mix of skills to ensure success of the project.
